FAQs.
Depending on the type of test (e.g. MRI scan, CT scan, ultrasound), there are different instructions. You may need to fast for a few hours or avoid certain medications. Our staff will let you know in advance.
The exact time depends on the type of test. Some procedures, such as a simple ultrasound, may take a few minutes, while an MRI can take longer, usually 15-30 minutes.
At Medscan, we have a specially designed environment to reduce feelings of claustrophobia, such as a window with natural light and a comfortable space. If you feel uncomfortable, our staff is always by your side, ready to guide you or interrupt the examination if necessary.
In most of our machines, such as MRI, there is no use of radiation. In the Neuviz 64e PRO CT scanner, technology allows a reduction of radiation of up to 80%, ensuring patient safety. Our staff adheres to strict protocols for your maximum protection.
The results are usually available within a few days, while in urgent cases priority may be given. You will be informed to receive your opinion and images from the center or we will send them to you digitally, if you wish.
It is important to inform our staff before the examination, especially for examinations such as MRI. In some cases, a special assessment or adjustment of the examination protocol is required.
